To the left is a giant China Berry tree in full bloom for the spring.  The fragrance is so richly pungent it can bowl
you over with it's scent.  I have many different trees here.  Pecan, black locust, prickly ash, elm, cedar, live oak and
some that are still mysteries.  I enjoy the shade of every leaf.  When I wallk back here I can feel the spirits of our ancesters walking the land and can connect with my own past,
present and future at once.  Some places, on my seven
acres, I have never been able to access because the undergrowth is so thick with sticker vines, blackberry and
all sorts of roots, grape vines, and of course, the ever present posion ivy/oak waving it's green fingers of itchy leaves in the breeze.  I have been working on  removing it, but it is very hardy and refuses to give up it's strangle hold on the woods.  You learn after awhile to ebb and flow with
Mother Nature and stay out of the reach of things that make
you itch and scratch.  By wearing socks over your pants prevents crawling ants and other bugs from crawling up your legs and having a meal on tender meat.
