There was nothing on the property when I came except for the cabin. To expand, I added the studio and three trailers with three inter-connecting porches to make a continuous living area.  This living space was developed with construction site leftovers, recycled matericals, curbside freebies and some 'new purchases' from the lumber store.  We spent a whole lot of time in the early days looking at the moon and stars.  We also had many deer wander into the back meadow and lounge around in the tall grass.  It has taken a full ten years to complete the building.  Maybe, even at that, I will think of something else to add to it.  I did all the work myself with some help from willing hands, adding on as time and materials became available.  It may be slightly humbler than the Ritz, bit it is paid for and I have never had a house mortgage.  I have 4500 square feet of living and working studios that I use for groud crafting, pottery making, a kiln room for firing the clay pieces, woodworking area, jewelry design, sewing room, computer desk with publishing area and space for my other interests.  In there, somewhere, I eat and sleep too.  So, with being the fanitic builder I seem to be, I couldn't leave well enough alone and had to add the screen porch in the spring of 2003.
